Angola Cup 2K26: Meridian E-Sports Confirms 12 Teams as Angola Prepares for Its Own Free Fire Showdown Details

Angola's Free Fire scene is getting a championship of its own. Meridian E-Sports has confirmed 12 teams for Angola Cup 2K26, a competition built exclusively for Angolan teams, with KZ36,000 on the line.

Meridian says the idea behind the Angola Cup is simple. It wants to give national talent a proper stage, build competitive spirit among local teams and push the level of esports in Angola higher. To protect that goal, the rules are tight. Only Angolan players are allowed to take part, the tournament is mobile only, and every match will be played in Battle Royale mode on the open map.

The field is already set. Malume Esports, Gabs Team, Laxus E-Sports, Kuringa Squad, Rampage, Xquad E-Sport, Tem Sic, 1M_Gamer, The Line 7, NX| Gringos, NX| SPCA and Six W7 E-Sports are all confirmed. Malume Esports stand out in the list, having returned earlier this month with a new lineup, and the Angola Cup gives them a big platform to show what that squad can do.

The rewards are spread across the top three. The champions go home with KZ20,000 and a first-place certificate. The runners-up collect KZ10,000 and a second-place certificate, while the third-place team earns KZ6,000 and a certificate. Teams paid a registration fee of KZ3,000, with payment through Express and BAI.

Points will decide the winner, and the scoring system rewards both survival and aggression. A first-place finish in a match earns 12 points, second place gets 9 and third gets 8. From fourth place down, the points fall one at a time, from 7 for fourth to 1 for tenth, while eleventh and twelfth earn nothing. Every kill adds one extra point, so a team that hunts well can climb the table even without winning many matches.

Meridian's calendar highlights 13, 14 and 15 November as the competition days. Six matches will be played each day, spread across Bermuda, Purgatory, Nova Terra, Kalahari and Solara, which means teams will need to be comfortable on every map. In its registration post on 22 October, Meridian said the championship would start as soon as all slots were filled.

With 12 teams, a shared prize pool and a three-day schedule, the Angola Cup 2K26 is shaping up as a key event for the country's Free Fire community. Stay with Lead Access Network for more updates as the competition unfolds.
