CAGE 26: A New Champion or Another Title for VENTS Esport?

As registrations for CAGE 26 continue, the Nigerian Free Fire community is once again preparing for one of the country’s biggest esports events. Before a new chapter begins, it’s worth looking back at the last Free Fire edition of the championship.

Looking Back at CAGE 24

Held on November 30, 2024, at Harbour Point, Victoria Island, Lagos, CAGE 24 brought together gamers from across Nigeria for a full day of competition. The annual event was created to celebrate and grow esports and gaming culture across Africa, in partnership with Game Evo Esports, Eventful Plus, Gamepride, and Nexal Gaming.

The tournament featured a total prize pool of ₦10 million across multiple titles, including Free Fire, Call of Duty: Mobile, and PUBG Mobile. The Free Fire competition alone offered a ₦1 million prize pool.

Twelve teams battled for the title:

  • TR Supreme

  • TR Offenders

  • Batty Boys

  • PG Esport (now Euvinci Pro Gamer)

  • Itel Esport

  • Unsullied Army

  • Outlaw Noobs (now NOOBZ Esport)

  • No Pressure

  • United Creeds

  • Outlaw Syndicate (now Syndicate)

  • Phoenix Reborn

After an intense competition, VENTS Esport emerged as champions, lifting the trophy and sharing the ₦1 million Free Fire prize pool with runners-up Outlaw Noobs (now NOOBZ Esport) and TR Supreme.

Their victory remains one of the defining moments of CAGE 24 and set the standard for future competitors.

The Road to CAGE 26

Now, the spotlight shifts to CAGE 26.

With registrations currently ongoing, another generation of teams is preparing to write its own story.

Can VENTS Esport defend the championship they won at CAGE 24?
